Tactical Emergency Aid Response (TEAR) Course

The TEAR course is based off of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), the current US Military medical training standard. Learning objectives are based off the Paraclete Low and Mid TEAR courses and is bolstered with realistic training aids and anecdotal experience from Stitch’s time as a US Army Special Operations Combat Medic (18D), with over 6 cumulative years’ operating in a combat zone. The course incudes reality-based scenarios that train the students to participate in active deadly force situations, engage and neutralize the threat(s), render aid under fire, including threat neutralization techniques and perform patient maneuvering and medical aid under the guidance and direction of the cadre.

Attendees will begin in the classroom and receive Lower and MID TEAR training with the second portion of the course being conducted on the range in live fire medical aid scenarios.

Attendees need to bring:

• Semi-automatic handgun
• Quality Kydex holster designed for that weapon. EDC setup is encouraged but battle / duty belts are authorized.
• At  least 2 magazines
• 50 rounds of ammunition
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection
• It is recommended to wear clothing, pants, shirts you can get simulated blood on or torn.

We will be shooting steel so you MUST have side shields on your eye protection.

Participation in training requires exercises and tests of physical agility, physical excursion, mental and physical stress, rapid heart rate, unconventional shooting positions in which the attendee assumes full responsibility for his/her own safety and improper weapons handling skills.

All attendees MUST acknowledge the Release of Liability Waiver and Safety Brief prior to registering and paying.

All attendees MUST RSVP and prepay by using the event tool.
